Lead Engineer (Structural)
ZCS is a multi-disciplinary Oregon A&E consulting firm that has served clients throughout the Pacific Northwest since 1978. As an established engineering firm with an emerging architectural department, we work collaboratively across disciplines and offices to provide comprehensive services to our clients. Many of our recent projects include substantial renovations and additions for K-12 educational facilities and seismic retrofits of existing buildings. ZCS has four office locations: Grants Pass, Medford, Klamath Falls, and Oregon City.

As a Lead Engineer in the structural discipline, you will ultimately leverage your in-depth knowledge of engineering and construction, strategic thinking, collaborative skills, and strong communication acumen to manage projects through completion and develop construction documents. The responsibilities of this position include:
-Perform structural calculations and prepare calculation packages for jurisdictional approval.
-Manage project delivery and utilize staff in a team atmosphere to produce projects from concept through construction including project status monitoring, tracking staff schedules and workload, project deadlines, and completing projects on time and on budget.
-Lead project development through standard design processes (schematic design, design development, and construction documents).
-Review construction documents for compliance with applicable codes such as the International Building Code (IBC), Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC), ASCE 41, AISC Manual of Steel Construction, ACI-318, and National Design Specification for Wood Construction (NDS).
-Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from and ABET accredited university required.
-5 years minimum post graduate structural engineering experience in a consulting firm that provides structural engineering services for low to mid-rise structures (preferred but not required).
-PE/SE is preferred, but not required.
