ServiceNow System Administrator

Sierra Cybernetics is seeking a ServiceNow System Administrator to work for us, supporting our County of San Bernardino client.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in applying ServiceNow's best practices and methodologies to develop and maintain a system that serves over 20,000 employees. The County has already implemented ITSM and AppEngine and is planning to incorporate additional modules in the future.

Responsibilities for this role include developing, documenting, and implementing the County's best practices for ServiceNow methodology, ensuring system compatibility and capacity planning. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying potential improvements in system stability and security, system integrity and standardization, as well as overseeing system patching and upgrades. Your expertise will also be called upon to guide the business in adopting best practices for system compatibility, interoperability, and capacity planning.

The position is expected to be a 1 to 2 year(s) contract (renewed annually).

Skills and Qualifications

Subject Matter Expert in ServiceNow administration, patching, cloning, security.

Strong technical skills, ability to scope, deploy, support and maintain enterprise applications.

Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.

Experience working in a government environment with an understanding of a government’s administrative processes.

Experience with ServiceNow’s flow/workflow, ACLs, ITSM, ITBM, AppEngine. Experience with other ServiceNow modules a plus.

Experience and Education:

Minimum of 5 years as System Administrator experience supporting an enterprise application with thousands of users.

Minimum of 2 years administering ServiceNow with admin level role.

Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed, post high-school coursework from an accredited university or technical school in Computer Information Systems, Business/Public Administration, or a closely related field.
