Bakery and Cafe Counter Server/Barista

Sweetbites is a fun and friendly eatery located near Tyson's Corner in McLean, VA serving freshly-baked pastries, cookies, tarts, and cakes; gourmet to-go sandwiches and salad; and espresso drinks.

We are seeking counter staff to serve and package our delicious gourmet desserts for our customers, make espresso drinks, and make sandwiches at the front counter.

If you love coffee and high-quality baked goods and can handle them with the upmost care as you take front counter orders and serve our customers from our bakery cases you are right for this job! We will train you as a barista on our espresso machine, so you don't need barista experience. Other duties include stocking inventory and light cleaning.

Flexible shifts are available between 7 am and 5:30 pm daily. This is a great job for a college student! If you need certain hours, please inquire.

Requirements for all positions:

A friendly, engaging personality;

Ability to communicate clearly with each customer in a friendly and courteous way;

Excellent customer service skills;

Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation and service;

Great attention to detail, efficiency, and time management skills;

Standing for extended periods of time.
