Wanted: Skilled Woodworker/Restorer to Preserve Totem Poles (Blaine, WA)

I am looking for a skilled individual to help restore two 20-foot totem poles. These beautiful pieces need care and preservation, and I am seeking someone experienced with wood restoration or carving. All materials will be provided, I just need someone who can handle the labor and craft with precision and care.

Job Description:

Clean, sand, and repair the totem poles, including filling cracks and gaps as needed.

Repaint intricate designs on the totem poles, following the original colors and patterns.

Apply wood preservative, sealer, and final varnish to protect the poles from weather damage.

Take pride in the craftsmanship and ensure the totem poles are restored to their former glory.

Requirements:

Experience in woodworking, restoration, or totem pole preservation is preferred.

Familiarity with outdoor wood care (sanding, filling cracks, applying wood sealer, and painting).

Attention to detail and care in preserving the original design.

Ability to work on-site in Blaine, WA.

Must be able to bond with the totem poles during the process and show respect for their cultural significance.

Pay:

$24/hour (Full-time until the job is complete).

Paid weekly.
