The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable Crackseal and Seal Coat Lead and crew members for crackseal and seal coat at commercial properties. This crew will be responsible for operating vehicles and pull behind sealcoat tanks and crack seal melters to complete asphalt repairs. Ensuring projects are executed to high standards and adhering to all safety guidelines will be crucial to this role.

Your Responsibilities

Safely operate crackseal and seal coat equipment and ensure its proper maintenance

Use billygoat blowers and brooms to clean asphalt surface areas before crackseal and seal coat application

Spray and spread crackseal on asphalt

Fill cracks in parking lots with crack seal

Be a team player working closely with other crew members to complete jobs in an efficient and effective manner

Load and prepare vehicles at the yard before leaving for the job for the day

Spend majority of shifts working outdoors exposed to high temperatures and constant sun exposure while patching asphalt

Conduct daily maintenance checks on the equipment and promptly report any mechanical or safety issues to the supervisor

Thoroughly clean the equipment and truck after each shift, including removing all residue

Prioritize safety by adhering to all safety regulations and company policies

Your Experience

1+ year of experience in construction, seal coat, crack sealing, striping, asphalt or concrete

Prior experience and knowledge of operating crackseal or sealcoat equipment for asphalt repair and patching is a bonus

Compliance with all required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on duty, including safety vest, gloves, hard hat, and work boots

Commitment to maintaining safety as the top priority, following company safety rules

Attention to detail and strong commitment to safety

Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and work in bending, squatting, sitting and standing positions for extended periods of time

Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed

Expected Schedule & Availability

This is a seasonal position with workdays scheduled from Monday through Saturday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as needed. Hours will likely be more part-time during the Winter months, but snow removal opportunities will be offered if interested.

Our Benefits

Pay range is between $18-26/hour depending on experience

Quarterly discretionary bonuses may be provided based upon performance (i.e., reliability, punctuality, safety, client satisfaction, etc.)
