Accounting Manager
Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager for a long-term contract role for our client in the pharmaceutical industry located in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks, as well as coordinating with other departments to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This role will be a hybrid schedule onsite in Bridgewater, NJ. This role is a long-term consulting opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensuring compliance with SOX controls and documenting the results of tests performed Conducting business process walkthroughs and documenting business process narratives and flows Proactively identifying and addressing emerging business and technical risks Coordinating monthly close functions, including managing ledgers and allocations Recording and managing journal entries related to corporate functions such as treasury, payroll, legal, prepaid, and accrued liabilities Conducting balance sheet account reconciliations and managing intercompany accounts Overseeing the reconciliation of external manufacturing inventory Responsible for the recording of journal entries, such as accrued liabilities, transfer price adjustments, finished goods, inventory reserves, standard cost revaluation, and intercompany accruals Supporting internal and external SOX 404 audit requests and compliance requirements Utilizing SAP S/4HANA for various accounting tasks and functions.Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Must have a minimum of five years of experience in accounting or related field. Extensive knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Proven experience with month-end close procedures. Familiarity with Intercompany Accounting. Possess strong analytical skills to create and assess financial statements and reports. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
