We are looking for a dedicated Manager Data Management like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsThe Manager, Data Management, will lead and directly oversee the work product of the Clinical Services Group (CSG) Data Management Team. This team, both technically-focused and consumer-facing, is responsible for the database management, modeling, architecture, and process automation of CSG’s clinical reporting solutions. The Manager will partner with leadership from both CSG Statistical Analytics and Analytics Products Teams to meet the needs for back-end technical solutions, complex dataset compilation, and optimization of data processes, and in doing so will need a collaborative approach, an understanding of business goals, and an appreciation for the value proposition of clinical initiatives.This role requires the technical skillsets necessary to support a data engineering team in the above listed capacities, but will also serve with a primary focus on resource management, project planning and deliverable management, and the continued development of staff-level data analysts and developers. The Manager of Data Management must be able to manage a portfolio of work, lead and serve people, set expectations on work delivery, and effectively delegate according to individual skill and capacity. This role must have excellent communication skills [both written and verbal], possess servant leadership abilities, have relationship building skills, portray a professional presence, and possess a proven track record of delivering high quality and actionable results.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESPartners with other leaders in the CSG data organization to ensure back-end development solutions meet the requirements of front-end and customer-facing solutionsEffectively manages the team through workflow and delivery deadlines, anticipating and effectively communicating timelines, risks and/or barriers to leadership and stakeholdersFacilitates effective communications among all team members and leadership to ensure comprehensive understanding of needs, expectations, and requirementsEffectively delegates work according to prioritization from leadership, individual skill level, and capacityLeads data analysts responsible for advanced data modeling and database query activities. Database platforms include Google BigQuery, Teradata, SQL Server, Postgres, etc.Ensures delivery of production-grade data solutions to power large-scale BI applications and statistical analytics projects (includes R, Microsoft Power BI)Accountable for testing and validation of work product prior to delivery to stakeholdersResponsible for efficient and effective work processes of the Data Management teamFacilitates professional and skillset development of staff-level data engineersFosters positive team culture and leads by serving othersPractices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEColle Degree and 4-6 years as a data architect or data analyst in a complex environment1-3 years leading a program of work and teamProficient in database management and programming languages, such as SQLFoundational understanding of BI platforms (Power BI preferred)HCA-based systems experience is a plusPossesses strong organizational and process driven skillsExcellent presentation and communication skills [verbal and written] are essentialProficiency in multiple database management technologies including but not limited to SQL Server, Postgres, Microsoft Access, etc.Advanced knowledge of ETL processes and capabilities (e.g. SSIS)Advanced SQL SkillsProficient knowledge of business intelligence platforms (Power BI preferred)Experience using a distributed version control system (e.g. GitHub, TFS)Results-oriented individual with a demonstrated strong commitment and willingness to do what it takes to get the job donePossesses interpersonal skills to work in a high profile and fast paced team environmentProven ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects within deadlinesProven ability to work in a team environment or independently as neededHealthcare experience preferredHCA Healthcare (Corporate) , based in Nashville, Tennessee, supports a variety of corporate roles from business operations to administrative positions.
