You will support and improve deliverability processes, resulting in improved client satisfaction for one, if not many, of our high-value Automotive clients.

Work together to win together: The Senior Email Deliverability Manager will report to the Senior Vice President, Digital Services. You will work closely alongside our internal teams of Email Deliverability, Email Development, and Project Management.

Innovate with purpose: As part of the technical project management team, you will be responsible for driving solutions and services to address email channel deliverability challenges, managing and overseeing required processes, working with the Epsilon Deliverability Management team, developing new client-facing practices, and work with contacts at ISPs.

Impact : You will be responsible for identifying emerging challenges and identifying, communicating, and overseeing the implementation of the appropriate email remedy. This is a matrix role and requires good interpersonal soft skills.

Career Growth : If successful, the Senior Email Deliverability Manager may gain exposure to other clients where you can make the most impact. Also, you may have an opportunity to level up to a Director role helping to mentor more junior Email Deliverability Managers and hone your leadership skills.

Who You Are

What you’ll bring with you:

Must be able to understand and manage the deliverability team’s day-to-day responsibilities:

On-boarding, testing, and execution strategies to maximize email delivery rates

Monitor Epsilon system, network, and campaign as well as ISP performance to identify early problems/trends

Oversee policy for standard deliverability procedures: Whitelisting, Feedback loops, escalations, blocking, absorption, SPAM filtering

Investigate, diagnose, and resolve deliverability and SPAM escalations

Oversee and manage third-party toolsets, vendors, and contracts supporting deliverability initiatives

Audit of technical sending practices:

Evaluate retry times, greylisting, concurrent connections, throughput, and mail delays

Examine sending implementation to examine for potential deliverability risks

Improve/automate process for warming new sending IPs & Domains: validate authentication, confirm fully qualified domain, validate all appropriate DNS parts

Monitor for new filtering technology/techniques at ISPs and provide periodic write-ups of the industry landscape to the team

Initiative – Assist ISP relations, by leveraging learnings from both ISPs and clients, to define deliverability platform features, services, and tools to enhance our deliverability offering

Problem Solving – Track overall deliverability metrics and take appropriate action on emerging issues in addition to reporting general learnings

Collaboration – Work with clients and client teams to discuss deliverability challenges and provide guidance. Work cross-functionally to establish processes and procedures that optimize deliverability.

Organization – Ability to manage time and resources and prioritize projects in a rapidly changing environment. Strong problem-solving skills - diagnosis, root-cause assessment, option evaluation, and resolution.

Why you might stand out from other talent :

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; Graduate degree in either a technical discipline or business administration

5+ years of email deliverability management experience

Individual with prior experience in email deliverability operations. Required experience with an ESP, ISP, or email authentication vendor.

Demonstrate understanding of email, SMTP, MTAs, IP strategies, authentication technologies like DMARC, DKIM or SPF, reputation strategies, data hygiene, privacy, opt policies, anti-spam policies
