Established in 2000, we specialize in creating unique, high-quality pieces that blend history and craftsmanship. We are seeking a skilled and experienced leader to oversee the construction of custom furniture pieces and ensure they meet our high standards.Position Overview:As the Carpenter Foreman, you will manage a team of carpenters and craftsmen, overseeing the entire process of building custom furniture from raw materials to finished pieces. Youll ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to our exacting standards of quality. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will balance your time between management duties and carpentry work.Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead the carpentry team in the construction of custom furniture.

Oversee daily operations in the workshop, ensuring all projects are on schedule.

Read and interpret blueprints, design specifications, and customer requirements.

Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the quality and accuracy of all work.

Train and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and skilled workforce.

Utilize carpentry tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble furniture components.

Solve design and construction challenges, making adjustments as needed.

Ensure the team follows safety guidelines and maintains a clean and organized workshop.

Communicate regularly with the design team and project managers to ensure specifications are met.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a foreman, lead carpenter, or similar leadership role in carpentry or furniture building.

Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, and construction techniques.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and technical drawings.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

High attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design and build challenges.

Physical stamina and dexterity to handle raw materials and supervise carpentry tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training or certification in carpentry, woodworking, or related fields.

Experience with high-end or custom-made furniture.

Familiarity with different types of materials, such as hardwoods, softwoods, and metals.

Knowledge of eco-friendly and sustainable building practices.
