Senior Community looking for a Prep/ Line Cook!
Skyline Estates Senior Living is looking for a Prep/ Line Cook.
This is a full time position: 9am-6pm with Wednesdays and Thursdays off.
We do patriciate in E-Verify. All job offers contingent on background check, TB, physical exam and drug screening.
Looking for someone with at least 1 year of experience in the kitchen.
Summary: Prepares and serves meals for the dietary department in a safe and appetizing
method in compliance with dietary standards, policy and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists or prepares of food items and serves food to residents within scheduled time frame.
2. Cleans and maintains food service areas, including kitchen and dining room.
3. Assists Director of Dining Services in maintaining inventory control.
4. Maintains clean, neat and safe work environment.
5. Assures that resident's diets are followed.
6. Assures team members and resident guest meals are accounted for on a daily basis.
7. Reports to Director of Dining Services any loss, breakage or waste of supplies and equipment.
8. Observes and communicates to Director of Dining Services problems or potential problems in the dietary department.
9. Observes and communicates any unusual or potentially dangerous resident behavior
10. Maintains current cleaning list and highest standards for kitchen cleanliness.
11. Assists in an emergency or, when short-staffed, as a Resident Assistant. See Resident Assistant job description for defined list of duties.
12. Performs all other duties assigned by any member of management.
13. Maintains current logs for chemicals, temperatures, etc.

12. Abides by established policies and procedures of community. Looks for ways to improve community functioning.
13. Respects resident rights and adheres to community philosophy of resident care.
14. Organizes and utilizes time appropriately; sets priorities to accomplish assigned tasks.
15. Must obtain ServSafe license after being hired.
