Timber Framer looking for Carpenter/Shop Worker
We are currently seeking team members to join our small but busy timber frame company. We have year-round openings for timber frame carpenters. Timber frame experience is not required – we will train you! Some experience in carpentry construction is required, however. This is a full-time, year-round position with excellent pay and generous benefits. The work is primarily in our shop located in Lyndeborough, NH with occasional job site work erecting our hand-crafted timber frames.
The candidate must be able to read drawings, read measuring devices, use standard woodworking tools and machinery and work alone or as part of a team. They must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Safe work is a priority and compliance with safety policies is mandatory. OSHA training is available. Training opportunities are available for forklift operation, CDL and crane certification. Prior experience in these areas is a plus. Opportunities are available for an individual with good mechanical abilities to learn how to operate and maintain our one-of-a-kind automated beam cutting machine.
Work hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm with overtime as needed.
All candidates must have a valid driver’s license and their own reliable vehicle.
Job requirements:
- Read, understand and follow plans and diagrams for cutting, finishing and labeling components.
- Pay careful attention to detail and follow directions exactly. Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner.
- Select and transport materials from inventory to the workstation in an organized and efficient manner.
- Safely cut, finish, stack, bundle and label heavy timber components while maintaining an organized work area.
- When working on site, perform all tasks in a safe and respectful manner. Customer interactions should be friendly and polite.
- Drug Testing and Background Checks required for Drivers
Pay ranges from $25/hr to $45/hr. commensurate with experience
