After-School Program Lead Teacher

Overview

We currently have a fabulous part-time opportunity for an After-School Program Lead Teacher. We are seeking an energetic, caring, warm person to lead a class of students in grades 2-5 (ages roughly 7-10) on weekday afternoons from 2:30-5:30. Additional opportunities for classroom support, and/or substitute teaching during school hours are also available. This position also offers robust opportunities for growth, as part-time positions very often turn into full-time offers!

Responsibilities Include:

-Develop and implement activities that integrate art, nature, outdoor play, collaboration, homework help, creativity, and fun!

-Manage all activities to ensure a safe and secure environment

-Support students with diverse learning and/or physical needs

-HAVE FUN

Preferred Skills:

-Proficient in classroom management techniques

-Experience working with school-aged students

-Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans/activities

-Knowledge of diverse teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
