Landscape Construction - Crew Leader

We create outdoor spaces with walls, patios, planting, outdoor lighting, and water features. And we're looking for team members ready with the skill and knowledge to operate machinery and deliver high-quality landscape installations. No mowing, little maintenance, only installation projects.

This job requires safety, strong analytical and technical abilities and demands carefully thought-out results and quality control. Strong leadership and control of the work process from beginning to end is necessary. We are looking for an experienced construction crew leader able to interact with homeowners as well as lead a team of labor.

A high level of expertise is expected and the ability to spot and correct errors is important. Work must be done right and

quickly, while always focusing on accomplishing the goal and demanding the highest quality work from coworkers.

1. Employment Requirements

Current and valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license

Current Pennsylvania DOT Medical Card

Competence in operating ALL landscaping/hardscaping equipment, powered and non-powered

Excellence in fostering teamwork among crew members and effective conflict resolution

Demonstrates expertise in retaining walls, paver patios, natural stone work, edging, concrete, carpentry, grading/excavation, and drainage

Delegating tasks and overseeing the use of tools and equipment

Recruiting and training new crew members

Assesses progress and makes recommendations

Provides ongoing cost, material, equipment, and time estimates

Ensures all crew members obey health and safety regulations at all times

Completes inventory checks and equipment inspections

Proficient in use of mobile apps and web databases to view and update spreadsheets and other documents

Schedules and conducts training sessions for crew members wherever required

Time management and problem solving skills

Reliability and timeliness

The physical demands of this job require constantly moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and frequently operating machinery. This job requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and exposure to the elements. This may include heavy to moderate noise and exposure to tools and machines used in outdoor construction.

2. Compensation Package:

Base Salary:

Hourly wage expectations will start at $25.00$35.00 per hour, depending on experience, payable bi-weekly

Paid Time Off (PTO):

Transfigurations recognizes the following 5 paid holidays each year: Memorial Day, Labor Day, the 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
