BASIC FUNCTION
The Full-Time Wheelchair Technician is responsible for the maintenance of Smarte Carte Mobility wheelchairs and providing customer service in direct communication with clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working knowledge of equipment and ability to perform maintenance and repairs.
Submit reports and respond to service requests in an accurate and timely manner.
Understand work rules and the expectations of the clients, airport management, and Smarte Carte.
Maintain regular contact with General Manager.
Perform periodic count of wheelchair fleet inventory as required
Ensure a safe working environment by ensuring all equipment is in good repair and working as designed.
Interact with client contacts to establish and maintain good rapport and excellent working relationships.
Maintain neat and organized tool and part storage areas, and order parts as needed
Pass background checks and present IDs as required to obtain airport badge and necessary clearance
Other assignments as needed.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associates or Technical degree preferred

Lift 50 lbs. to waist height
Push/Pull 75-100 lbs.
Bend and stoop, walk and stand for long periods of time
Visual acuity/manual dexterity to perform mechanical and electrical repairs
