Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Construction Admin in the hospitality industry. This role is based in Oak Brook, Illinois, 60523-3930, United States. As a Construction Admin, your primary functions will involve processing contracts, managing project coordination items, and assisting the development team. Key Responsibilities: Efficiently process proposals, contracts, RFI’s, submittals, pay applications, and change orders utilizing various software tools. Oversee the ordering of owner-furnished equipment as per project plans and coordinate deliveries with Construction Project Managers. Actively participate in the bidding process, including soliciting general contractors and developing bid comparisons. Assist the facilities department and legal department on project coordination items as needed. Generate and distribute project closeout documentation and ensure all final lien waivers are obtained. Review lease documents to determine reimbursement requirements, maintenance requirements, and other landlord submittal requirements. Regularly participate in weekly development meetings and assist the development team with miscellaneous tasks as needed. Collaborate with AP / FP& A for invoice processing, cash planning, and spending forecasting. Manage customer service tasks including answering inbound calls, data entry, and email correspondence. Use your skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word for various administrative tasks. Requirements Must have experience in the hospitality industry Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required Must have a strong understanding of construction documents, plans, and cost Experience in commercial construction projects is essential Knowledge of construction law and loans is a plus Excellent customer service skills are necessary Must be skilled in data entry and email correspondence Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls effectively Experience in scheduling appointments is crucial Must be familiar with the construction industry and its nuances Answering inbound calls in a professional and courteous manner is necessary Ability to manage construction projects efficiently is required.
