HR Generalist
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an HR Generalist in Palm Springs, California. This role is primarily focused on the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring legal compliance and providing support to various departments. The HR Generalist will also play a crucial role in maintaining employee records and handling administrative tasks related to onboarding, promotions, terminations and exit interviews.Responsibilities: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR department, providing input and suggestions on projects and initiatives Address employee questions and concerns promptly and professionally Maintain both physical and electronic employee files efficiently Ensure accuracy of time/attendance data and payroll records Prepare and deliver new hire and onboarding presentations Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, transfers, promotions, terminations, and exit interviews Manage written and verbal communications with employees, managers, and candidates Support Program Departments and the Regional Hub office Conduct research for special projects and organize the information effectively Provide guidance to employees and business leaders on policies, procedures, and best practices Create and maintain data entry/tracking sheets as needed.Direct Hire OpportunityHybrid - onsite 2 -3 days - remote the other daysRequirements Candidate must hold a minimum of two years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role. Proficient communication skills are required for effective interaction with all levels of the company. Demonstrated experience in managing employee relations and resolving workplace issues. Experience in conducting new employee orientations and facilitating onboarding processes. Proven skills in organizational development, including designing, driving, and managing change within the organization. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of HR laws and regulations. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using HR software and computer systems. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic thinker. Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is a plus. Excellent time management skills with proven ability to work accurately and quickly prioritize, coordinate, and consolidate tasks. Ability to foster healthy employee relations and create an inclusive, diverse work environment.
