Job summary: Ordway Center for the Performing Arts seeks a reliable, customer-service oriented Security Supervisor to greet guests as they enter the Ordway theater's Stage Door. This position will work Monday – Friday from 7 AM – 3 PM as well as share responsibility to cover or find replacements for other shifts, as needed. Position Purpose: The Security Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the Security Manager by helping to keep the department running smoothly. This includes participating in ongoing security training to maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone – from employees and performers to guests, vendors, and contractors.

Pay: $21 - $23 per hour

Reports to: Security Manager
Key Performance Areas:
Weekly operations meetings and weekly meeting with Security Manager.
Provide weekly reports of Stage Door Attendants and Event Security activities.
Responsible for Detex, monitoring, reports and maintenance, as well as quarterly Operations reports.
Monitor and review the Ordway’s buildings and grounds to ensure they are safe and secure.
Project the image of the Ordway through actions and behaviors at the Stage Door and Front Lobby.
Complete tasks at the Stage Door to ensure efficient and productive daily operations.
Extinguish any security incidents, and in the event of an elevated security incident, notify higher authorities to ensure the safety of staff and patrons in Ordway facilities.
Other Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree preferred.
Two to four years of building security experience, preferred.
Supervisory experience, required.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to listen and communicate routine exchange of factual information.
Ability to observe suspicious behavior, techniques for dealing with public that may put their safety in danger.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards including General Duty Standards, Hazardous Communication Standards, Occupational Noise Exposure, Personal Protective Equipment, Lockout/Tag Out, and Blood Borne Pathogens.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and basic Excel).
