Line Cook Needed @ Bouquet Wine Bar

We’re a natural wine bar in Greenpoint looking for an experienced line cook to join our team!

Starts immediately. Pay is $22/hr.

The ideal candidate:

Experience of at least 1 year in a restaurant kitchen.

Aware of best practices in kitchen sanitation and food safety.

Good team player, communicative, gets the job done well and has a sense of urgency in service.

Reliable, shows up on time, and is consistent in their work products.

Makes sure all items are up to par by chef’s standards

Ready, willing, and able to do basic prep like chopping, cutting, cooking, baking, and making sauces for their station.

Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.

Willing to help with deep cleaning and organizing projects.

Works well with others, including back and front of house staff

Can open and close kitchen with guidance from BOH staff.

Can lift 50 lbs or more, able to go up and down stairs with said 50 lbs.

Huge plus - possesses an NYC food handler’s permit, or is in the process of getting one.

The details:

$22/hr

Work week is currently Weds, Thurs, Fri, Sat. with some flexibility & occasional Sundays.

Estimated hrs are around 34-36, but we hope to eventually be able to offer full time!
