LPN, CMA or CNA - Multi Specialty Clinic
Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for an LPN, CMA, or CNA to join our Multi-Specialty Clinic team on a Full-Time basis in our Urology Clinic.
The LPN/CMA or CNA is responsible for providing supportive patient care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician in accordance with policies and procedures of the practice. This includes answering phone calls, and emails, collecting and recording patient information, and vital signs, assisting physicians with patient examinations and procedures, giving injections or medications as directed by physicians, entering patient information into medical records, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing instruments in accordance with practice policies. Ensure rooms are stocked and prepared each day according to the work schedule. Takes inventory of medical and exam room supplies.
CNA candidates will be given the opportunity to undergo training to become a CMA.
This position may require travel between our Specialty Clinic sites in Madison, WI and Stoughton, WI.
Essential Functions:
Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the authorized healthcare provider
Performs surgical coordination duties under the direction of the providers
Assists with exams or procedures
Performs support duties to assist in the smooth operation of the clinic
Process all requests for release of information in accordance with state and federal laws as well as hospital policy
Position Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of education
Requires previous experience in a healthcare setting. Prefer prior experience in a clinical setting
Trained in CO-CPR or Current BLS certification
Computer Competency: Advanced knowledge of working with electronic health records required
Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills – Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas, and prepare applicable charts for reports
Work Shift:
Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
40 hours per week
Work Days: Monday – Friday
Scheduled Shift: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
No Weekends or Holidays
