Barista/Cashier (Full Time) @ Chaumont

Chaumont Bakery located in Beverly Hills is seeking a motivated and experienced Barista/Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for French pastries & coffee, excellent customer service, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview:

As a Barista/Cashier, you will be the face of our cafes, responsible for creating a positive experience for our customers. Your primary duties will include preparing and serving food & beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.

Take customer orders accurately and process payments using a cash register or POS system.

Prepare coffee & tea using espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment.

Serving food and drink orders to customers in a quick and efficient manner.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.

Replenish supplies and stock inventory as needed.

Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.

Assist with opening, mid-shift and closing duties on a daily basis.

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations.

Requirements:

Availability from 6:00am to 4:30pm daily, and weekend availability is a must

Previous experience as a server and/or barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

A positive attitude and a passion for coffee and customer service.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Benefits:

Pay: $17.28 hourly plus tips (tips average between $10-$13 per hour in tips)
