Description We are in search of an Office Assistant to join our team in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, situated in Fairfax, Virginia. As an Office Assistant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including patient communication, examination room maintenance, and administrative tasks. This opportunity offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Engage in effective communication with patients, including scheduling and follow-up calls. Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of examination rooms in accordance with health and safety standards. Develop a broad understanding of medical tasks to support healthcare professionals. Perform administrative tasks such as filing patient charts, scanning documents, and photocopying. Utilize MS Office tools to maintain and update patient records. Carry out receptionist duties as required, ensuring efficient office operations. Learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities within the healthcare environment. No prior healthcare experience is needed, but some office experience is advantageous. Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in an office assistant role or similar position Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Experience with receptionist duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and greeting visitors Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry is a plus Must be able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality. Ability to work well in a team environment and foster positive relationships with colleagues Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations effectively Must have a professional demeanor and appearance.
