Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Project Assistant in the transportation industry, based in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Project Assistant, you will be instrumental in the planning, execution, and wrap-up of various projects and events, including coordinating with vendors, managing logistics, and handling administrative tasks.Responsibilities: Assist in the planning, implementation, and completion of specific projects within deadlines. Manage event coordination tasks, including vendor management, logistics, and venue setup. Oversee a variety of administrative tasks such as project documentation, scheduling, data entry, and providing support in meetings. Communicate effectively with all stakeholder groups, including team members, clients, and external vendors. Generate comprehensive and timely reports to illustrate project progress and status. Provide effective solutions on the fly to ensure the successful completion of projects. Contribute to the maintenance and management of project budget and resources. Attend project meetings, and assist in the preparation and distribution of meeting minutes. Conduct customer service tasks such as processing applications and maintaining accurate records. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for various tasks, including organizing files and managing timelines. Requirements Proven experience in a transport or logistics-related field Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Exceptional customer service skills Ability to manage and meet strict timelines Advanced data entry skills, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Experience with shipping functions and coordinating transport activities Ability to handle and organize files systematically Proficient in scanning and creating packets Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education is a plus.
