They perform a variety of clerical and technical tasks as assigned.Qualifications:Required:
High School Diploma or GED
BLS Certification through American Heart Association only
Phlebotomy certified within 6 months of employment
Completion of related technical education course
On-the-job training or completion of Fundamentals in Nursing course
Ability to perform all competencies
Preferred:
One year of nursing assistant experience
Certifications and Licenses:
BLS certification through American Heart Association
Phlebotomy certified within 6 months of employment
Scheduling Requirements:
Days 7:00AM-7:30PM
Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
Full-Time
Mandatory Orientation
Essential Functions:
Participate in patient care interventions and personal care procedures for patients
Perform approved dressings and wound care
Participate in nutritional activities
Assist with personal hygiene
Assist with ambulation
Assist with bowel and bladder elimination
Provide such additional care as required to meet the personal needs and comfort of assigned patients
Determine, prepare and set up medical supplies and equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to include obtaining specimens, taking vital signs and measurements, positioning patients and attaching equipment leads to specific body locations
