Growing together.The Senior Business Process Analyst, a vital member of the Optum Financial Operations Enablement team, will facilitate the deployment of Risk Management & Issue Prevention for Optum Financial. In this individual contributor role, you will collaborate with cross-functional senior leaders and subject matter experts from diverse backgrounds and communication styles, including operations, product, client management, compliance, and information technology. This position focuses on executing process risk assessments and improvement project engagements. You will build relationships with internal stakeholders at various organizational levels, applying your strategic and critical thinking skills to drive change and deliver quality outcomes. Solid organizational and documentation skills are essential to meet project deadlines and quality standards.Plan to bring your effective communication skills, solid business and technical acumen and the drive to always deliver on your commitments. You are described as forward-thinking, strategic, collaborative, determined and customer centric.If you are located in Eden Prairie, MN or Draper, UT, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

Document and visualize end-to-end operational processes to understand workflow, dependencies, and potential points of failure; prepare clear, accurate and complete documentation in accordance with department quality standards

Identify potential risks or vulnerabilities within each step of the process that could lead to errors, delays, or inefficiencies; execute the key stages of the RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) process

Identify, review, and make recommendations on key risks, problems and points of friction; develop and implement methods and procedures to eliminate operational problems and improve delivery quality

1+ years of experience designing and documenting user flows, workflows, and business requirements to support projects

1+ years of experience working in relevant areas such as internal control/ risk management areas, Audit, Compliance, Actuarial, Technology, Product, Service Delivery, and/or Finance

1+ years of experience performing risk assessments including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, and remediating risk

1+ years of experience communicating operational risk evaluation and assessment results both written and verbal to management and stakeholder/customers

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), or other relevant certification

Experience utilizing data analytics to evaluate processes and identify opportunities

Experience working within healthcare and/or financial services industry

Experience with MS Project, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio

Proven solid interpersonal and analytical skills while working effectively with a team
