Sommelier/Captain - Fine Dining
Fine Dining, Michelin Rated restaurant is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic sommelier/captain.
We seek candidates with fine dining experience and excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a proven dedication to both the art and business of hospitality. Must be able to multi task and pay attention to details. Ideal candidate has a welcoming personality, knowledge of food, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
We are seeking a sommelier with dedication and STRONG knowledge of wine, sake, food, and all things beverage- as well as creating unique experiences for our guests.
Candidates must have at least 5 years NYC fine-dining experience with full availability to be considered.
A minimum of 5 years of sommelier experience in a fine dining environment preferred.
Strong understanding of food, wine, sake and spirits required.
Work closely with General Manager with monthly inventory
Availability on Weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun) is mandatory

Strong Problem Solving, Communication, and Time Management skills
Intense focus for details including steps of service, food quality, presentation, and cleanliness of the restaurant
Must follow direction, self-motivate, work clean and stay organized
Monitor and replenish inventory of wine cellar, equipment, and glassware
Be ready and willing to assist staff during service if needed
