Provide Engineering support for Avionics and Electrical Installations on Leonardo products to the Completions Hanger teams. Define wire routing, wire grouping and documentation with drawings or other documentation. Define connector assembly and parts specifications with EMI-RFI (Electromagnetic interference, radio frequency interference) and HIRF (high intensity radiating interference) requirements consideration. Witness and conduct any required testing to verify proper operation of the installed avionics and electrical equipment. Test procedure preparation to ensure proper operation of the installed avionics and electrical systems and equipment. Participates in project teams and all activities related to the development of new completions and modifications. Support certification efforts for the avionics and electrical equipment installation. Provide support to Hanger fault investigations. Domestic and international travel required up to 10% of the time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or a related field plus 4 years of experience in an engineering occupation. Experience must include a minimum of:
4 years of experience in avionics and electrical systems installations.
4 years of experience in avionics testing.
4 years of experience in design, repair, and analysis of electrical systems.
4 years of experience with more than one Avionic System (including but not limited to: Navigation, Electronic Flight System, Radios, Autopilot).
1 year of experience using Autocad or similar design software to generate electrical wiring diagrams.
1 year of experience in Electrical System Troubleshooting.Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
Demonstrated Knowledge of:
A Modeling Simulation tool (such as Simulink, MATLAB, SolidWorks).
Electronic circuit technology (analog and digital).
Microsoft Office products, especially with Word, PowerPoint and Excel for the preparation of acceptance test procedures and reports.
Use of lap-top computers for data logging, digital bus readers and other avionics test equipment.
