Job DescriptionLocation: Chicago, ILHospital: RUSH University Medical CenterDepartment: Digital & Information ServicesWork Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)Shift: Shift 1Work Schedule: 8 Hr (9:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)Summary:The Senior Director of D&IS Workday Solutions is responsible for the implementation and delivery of the Workday suite of applications including: HCM (Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Comp, Core HR, On-boarding, US Payroll, Performance and Goals, Recruiting, Talent) FIN (Banking and Settlement, Budgets, Assets, Customer Accounts, Contracts, Expenses, Financial Accounting, Grants, Planning, Prism, Projects) SCM (Procurement, Inventory, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Accounts).The Senior Director of D&IS Workday Solutions will leverage their expertise to provide guidance for the program deployment from planning to implementation and operations.Reporting to the SVP and Chief Information Officer, the Senior Director, provides strategic leadership, vision, and oversight for all aspects of ERP implementation focusing on the Workday solutions suite, strategy & planning, and IT process management.Other information:Required Job Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years of technology and related management experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant experience in the field At least 10 years of experience working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels Led (as a Manager or Director) multiple end-to-end ERP implementations in healthcare environments encompassing the Workday solutions: HCM, SCM, FIN and/or Philanthropy Managed a large Service delivery organization supporting an organization with over 15,000 usersPreferred Job Qualifications: Healthcare experience strongly preferred, preferably within a large healthcare provider system. Process improvement experience preferred, such as ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma, Scrum, SAFe, PROSCI etc. Prior Management Consulting experience leading successful delivery of large-scale initiatives. Experience working in a similar role on at least 2 previous projects with various ERP solutions (e.g., Workday, Infor, UKG, etc. Diversified background in Health IT with demonstrated experience in project management acumen, excellent vendor management skills, and a service-oriented approach to IT operations Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of management and technical teams to influence change and facilitate cooperation. Deliver results by building a culture of accountability and consistent application of project and program management practices. Provides direction and guidance regarding strategic and operational priorities to ensure project success on technical and operational initiatives and project deliverables, both short and long term. Partner with the program sponsor, stakeholders, and system integrator to define the program key deliverables and roadmap to create a strategic and operational plan. Facilitate teams and motivate others working across departments and entities who partner with D&IS, to ensure collaboration, communication, visibility, and successful delivery of the ERP program. Partner with Executive management, Project leadership, Project sponsor, and functional and technical teams to ensure the project meets goals and objectives. Drive business transformation by changing legacy thinking and taking advantage of technological advances. Facilitate timely critical issue resolution that supports the transformation goals of the project. Establish and facilitate project governance model and reinforce guiding principles. Drive development of the project requirements and scope in adherence with transformational goals. Communicate project status, key issues, and risks to the program sponsor and/or senior leadership, identifying issues requiring resolution at the senior/sponsor level. Co-manage the vendor activities (Solutions and Integrator), based on contracted performance requirements, and escalate issues to the senior leadership, as necessary. Develop, maintain, and enhance good working relationships with external and internal constituents. Facilitate critical issue resolution. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of RUSH operations and systems in order to provide a robust and secure end user experience. Collaborates with D&IS leadership as needed, to ensure project activities are coordinated across and among the various D&IS operations. Working with the implementation team, ensures that Enterprise Technologies projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with quality. Maintains a continuous process improvement approach with staff and contractors to optimize system performance. Provides input into best practices for workflow, system configuration and implementation. Fosters a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques. Proactively mitigate risks working with the project leadership and governance structure. Utilizes previous ERP implementation expertise to determine the impact on scope, schedule, and budget. Works with business operations teams to ensure good coordination of IT changes without impacting business processes. Builds and maintains relationships with other IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and can respond with agility to changing business priorities. Maintains standard operating procedure accountability, quality assurance and adherence to all processes. Manages, mentors, and develops team members.
