The position is responsible for designing and implementing strategic engineering programs, providing thought leadership and technical expertise to drive transformational engineering operations. This leader will be responsible for building strong business relationships with key client stakeholders in addition to providing functional and technical leadership to the teams that support the delivery of Engineering services, engaging and leveraging others to create optimal solutions, drive out costs, scale for efficiency, and advance client relationships. The role will lead a diverse, globally dispersed team.What this job involves
Support the engineering staff to develop a re-imagined, high performing team.
Support building operations through a highly integrated facilities management and engineering team to assure high infrastructure availability and client satisfaction.
Develop and maintain a transformational strategic plan in support of client objectives with a focus on JLL innovation and best practices.
Partner with the client to develop and implement cooperative change management of program for all teams.
Develop data-led operational strategies and manage compliance through sophisticated reporting and analytics.
Develop, manage and improve account preventative maintenance program utilizing industry best practices to deliver services and manage deferred maintenance.
Ensure consistent maintenance practices across the account's portfolio and ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements.
Ensure programs are in place to partner with sourcing teams for responsible vendor management, bidding, negotiations and administration of regional or national contracts for technical products or services
Identify risks to client facilities and eliminate downtime.
Responsible for the JLL Engineering Services Compliance Program.
Develop training programs based on needs gathered through skills assessments and safety requirements.
Administer technical skills assessments and technical training program of facility engineering personnel.
Provide tactical operational Subject Manager Expert (SME) support directly or through securing resources in the areas of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, process, automation, fire life safety, quality, business continuity, and other technical disciplines.
Administer compliance with and reporting of applicable environmental health and safety programs.
Additional duties as required.Experience Required
Undergraduate degree in business administration, engineering, engineering technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 10+ years direct supervision of multi-building operations and engineering staff.
Extensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression system knowledge of commercial/critical facilities required.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
Strong organization skills and collaborative management style.
Understanding of technical products and services.Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, report to client site in a hybrid capacity and as needed to respond to incidents.
