A seafood packer's responsibilities may include:

Packaging: Packing thawed or frozen seafood (anchovies, mackerel, squid, shrimp) and worms into boxes, containers, or packets

Labeling: Adding labels to packages with product information

Weighing: Weighing seafood and packages

Sealing: Sealing boxes safely for shipping or distribution

Quality checks: Performing routine quality checks on products and packaging

Cleaning: Cleaning and sterilizing containers and work areas

Stocking: Keeping packaging materials and labels stocked

Moving: Moving packaged seafood goods to freezers and refrigerators and stacking them safely

Collaborating: Working with other professionals, such as team members and delivery drivers

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Applicant must be legally allowed to work in the United States and pass a background and drug screen.

Seafood packers may use a variety of tools and equipment, including dollies, carts, knives, box cutters, packing tape dispensers, and label printers.

EXPERIENCE

Experience Minimum: 1 years of experience in a food prep environment

Experience Preferred: 2-3 years of food prep experience
