Aesthetic Medical Assistant needed for MedSpa

Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – 20 hours per week

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Aesthetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. This multi-functional role involves providing both administrative and clinical support directly to the physicians and providers to ensure exceptional quality of care for our patients. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in aesthetics and will be adept at performing a range of duties, from medical assisting to patient education, as well as handling various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Medical Assisting: Assist the physicians and providers with aesthetic procedures and treatments, ensuring all procedures are performed in accordance with safety and care standards.

Patient Information: Verify and update patient information, including recording medical history accurately.

Photography: Conduct pre- and post-procedure photography as needed to document patient progress and outcomes.

Preparation: Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.

Sterilization: Prepare and sterilize equipment and instruments using proper techniques to maintain a sterile environment.

Education: Provide clear and comprehensive education to patients on pre- and post-procedure care instructions.

Sanitation: Clean and sanitize rooms, equipment, and instruments between patient visits to maintain a hygienic environment.

Inventory Management: Maintain and manage inventory and supplies for clinical areas, ensuring that stock levels are adequate, and supplies are properly organized.

Communication: Answer triage and routine phone calls from patients, providing appropriate responses and guidance.

Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance regulations.

Administrative Duties:

o Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic calendar.

o Handle payment processing.

o Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Computer Skills: Efficiently utilize various computer programs and systems to manage patient records and appointments.

Qualifications:

Experience: Prior experience in an aesthetic medical setting is required.

Skills: Proficiency in medical assisting, patient education, and sterilization techniques. Ability to work with various computer programs effectively.

Attributes: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality.

Education: Graduate of an accredited medical assisting school, with certification.
