Be a part of a Ft Lauderdale institution! Since the 1970's, Hot Dog Heaven has been making guests happy serving the best Chicago Style Hot Dogs, Italian Beef Sandwiches and Burgers in the area. The restaurant is nationally recognized as the first Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stand in the US and Ft Lauderdale has recognized every September 19 as Ft Lauderdale's Hot Dog Heaven Day for their exceptional food and service thru the years. The current owners are retiring and its time for the new owners and you to take this Ft Lauderdale classic into the future. Historically, the restaurant has been open 6 days for lunch, but currently only open 4. The restaurant will be open 7 days for extended service hours as its location sees 60,000 cars pass by daily. The menu is very simple and the location is small and easy to manage. In person resumes will not be accepted at this time. Please do not call the restaurant
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quick Service General Manager to oversee the operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and possess exceptional leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant operations, quick service style, open kitchen, outside seating for 12
- Ensure high-quality food production and service standards are consistently met
- Conduct staff training and development programs to enhance team performance
- Interview, hire, and train new employees
- Implement and maintain efficient restaurant procedures and policies
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Utilize POS systems effectively for sales tracking and reporting
Skills
- Extensive experience in food service management, kitchen management, and food production
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building and motivation
- Proficient in interviewing, hiring, and training staff members
- Knowledge of hospitality management practices to ensure exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient restaurant operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
