Service door/ handyman maintenance technician

We are a fully licensed, bonded and insured residential/ commercial facility/ property maintenance and plumbing company. We are a service-based company that specializes in commercial, residential owner/ tenant occupied properties. We offer 24 hour/ 365-day service, and currently cover the greater Chicagoland and Indiana area.

We currently are looking for a candidate that is well rounded and able to perform the following tasks:

Residential/ Commercial:

1) Doors- anything from minor repair to steel frame replacement. Ideal candidate would be able to properly diagnose, measure, as well as remove and replaced a commercial door and steel frame and professionally finish with paint if and when needed. Well-rounded with doors in the following: (frames- steel/ wood, slabs, storm and screen), fire escape doors/ push/ panic bars, door locks (replacement), alarm keypad entry locks, door closures, hinges, bend metal/ use an aluminum brake when applicable. We service manual doors only, not automatic. We also do not re-key, only replace if and when applicable.

2) Painting, drywall repair, trim, snap flooring, brush removal, gate/ dumpster enclosures, fences, pressure washing, graffiti removal, light plumbing (faucet replacement, sink repair/ etc.), furniture/ equipment assembly, bulb replacement, etc. will also fall under the tasks of this position.

- A minimum of 3+ years of service work/ handyman experience and able to perform the tasks listed above correctly and efficiently.

- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

- Must be well-rounded/ mechanically inclined and service oriented.

- Must be able to communicate, show professionalism and use mobile apps.

- Have basic tools for the trade (specialty tools will be provided).

- Must pass a background check.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Follow written and verbal instructions

- Showcase critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Effectively communicate with both customers and colleagues in a professional manner

- Exhibit a friendly and professional attitude toward both customers and the team

Work Hours (Standard Rate): Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm,

Anything after 5pm Monday through Friday & weekends will be paid at an overtime rate

Compensation: 50-90k per year depending on experience
