Position: Device Installer & Customer Service

Salary: Approximately $70,000+ per year (Base Salary of $30,000 + Commission)

Location: Primarily in Iowa, with travel across the country.

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Device Installer for school buses and other vehicles. This role involves installing GPS tracking devices and other related hardware, ensuring proper functioning and integration into the vehicle's electrical system. When not installing devices, this individual will be a crucial part of our customer service team, helping to resolve issues for school districts nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance: Install GPS tracking devices and related hardware in school buses and other vehicles, primarily within Iowa and occasionally in other states.

Develop and implement installation plans that comply with vehicle warranty requirements.

Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance of installed devices to ensure optimal performance.

Technical Expertise:

Research and understand vehicle wiring diagrams to ensure proper installation without voiding vehicle warranties.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and installation best practices.

Customer Service:

Provide technical support and assistance to school districts across Iowa and nationwide.

Work closely with the customer service team to resolve client issues, providing real-time assistance via live chat, phone, or on-site visits.

Train and guide customers on the use of installed devices and related software.

Documentation and Reporting:

Document installation processes, wiring diagrams, and customer interactions for future reference and quality assurance.

Prepare reports on installation progress, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.

Qualifications:

Strong background in vehicle electrical systems and wiring.

Experience with GPS tracking devices or similar hardware installation preferred.

Ability to read and interpret vehicle wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset.

Willingness to travel within Iowa and potentially to other states for installations.

Compensation:

Base Salary: $30,000 per year.

Commission: Additional earnings based on the number of successful installations, bringing the total estimated annual compensation to approximately $70,000 and up.
