The Program Coordinator will provide vital support for the Library’s expanding program of iOS/Swift app development classes. You will be supporting adult learners of diverse careers, educational backgrounds, and cultures as they embark on their app development journey. The NYPL offers technology classes in more than 80 libraries across the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. The ideal candidate has general industry experience in project management and is passionate about closing the digital divide.This position is a temporary 1-year part-time position with the possibility of extension.ResponsibilitiesAs a Tech Training Program Coordinator, you will

Provide analytical support for the TechConnect program by maintaining and analyzing data on program metrics including survey data and compiling reports

Assist in the disbursal and retrieval of all devices on loan (both branches and patrons)

Manage patron correspondence, including registrations and spreadsheets for series-based programming

Support outreach and promotional activities

Serve as a liaison for the program within the Library as well as to other institutions in the technological and educational communities

Growth mindset when receiving and incorporating feedback from leaders and peers

Assist with ad-hoc projects and performs other related duties as required

Travels throughout Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx as needed

Assist Program Manager with the implementation of innovative tools for efficient project management

Required Education, Experience & SkillsRequired Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree

Required Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant work experience

Prior experience with iOS related technology products and services

Required Skills

Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Organizational and event planning skills, including the ability to perform multiple projects or tasks simultaneously

Strong aptitude for learning new and emerging technologies quickly as well as a commitment to staying current on emerging trends

Demonstrated ability to deal tactfully with patrons and staff of all levels

Successfully demonstrated experience working as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision

Experience providing support to management-level staff
