AUTO BODY REPAIR TECHNICIAN
Compensation: We pay a very competitive percentage rate of commission. Depending on your skills and commitment, techs can earn over $100,000 annually.

Experience: Successful technicians will have at least 2-3 years relatable experience that demonstrates upward growth and achievement. Certifications a plus. Experience should include body work, structural repair and replacement, as well as unibody, frame and mechanical repairs. Techs with PDR skills and their own equipment are rewarded with higher percent commission for excellent quality work.
Business Hours: Candidate must be available M-F, 7 am – 6 pm; willing to work weekends or later in the day if the job requires. Daily 8 working hours/40 hour weeks are expected.

Must have own tools
Excellent work ethic; pride in workmanship
Understand importance of completing jobs within the time targeted and be able to clearly communicate reasons for delays
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Welding certification
I-Car or ASE certifications a plus
Must be able to correctly and accurately complete light to heavy repairs, replacement panels, aluminum repairs, including structural and frame work
Must be able to read and write, be fluent in English, understand repair orders, and follow insurance and shop guidelines for all repairs. Must be able to clearly communicate with other staff, management, and occasionally customers and adjusters.
Must be able to assess scope of repair and identify and document supplemental damage along with all parts needed to complete the repair.
Must be able to evaluate parts received for quality, suitability, and completeness; notifying estimator and parts receiving of all issues or concerns
Must be able to keep estimating staff and office updated on progress of each job, problems, completion dates.
Must be able to work with the paint technician to progress work to the paint shop and upon paint completion, prioritize job for reassembly and prepare for delivery to customer
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted and be able to handle the physical requirements of the job. This job is located in an environment that is noisy and can have fumes and odors. Employees must wear approved PPE. In addition, the job requires the employee be able to handle other physical requirements of the job including but not limited to: bending, reaching, squatting, twisting, and other movements over long periods of time.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. Must be able to be covered by our insurance carrier
If offered employment, must pass pre-employment physical & drug screen. A background check may be performed.
Must remain exceptionally ethical in all aspects of the job and have strong personal expectations to produce only high quality work
Willingness to provide supervision, advice, and guidance to others

Bradford Auto Body is an independent repair facility in business since 1949. Experienced technicians generally flag 60 – 100 hours or more per week. Techs with PDR skills receive higher rate for PDR work.
