Affix Handyman Solutions seeks a Service Assistant who is eager to learn and to help with a wide range of home repairs. This person will complete a variety of maintenance and repair tasks during an average day, including minor plumbing problems, or minor remodeling, installing light fixtures, artwork and more. The right person must be willing to help out with whatever repair and maintenance tasks we are called to address.

The ideal person will have an entrepreneurial drive and great interpersonal skills. He or she needs to be mechanically skilled and capable of using many different hand and power tools.

Service Assistant Job Description

We’re looking for a hard-working Service Assistant to join our growing team. In this position, it will be your responsibility to help us with whatever basic repair and maintenance tasks require attention. For example, you’ll be asked to assist with installation tasks, clean and remodel spaces, and resolve minor plumbing and electrical issues.

To do well in this position, you will need to have excellent communication skills, be on time and personable. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with using a wide variety of hand and power tools, capable of being on scaffolding and ladders and working outdoors occasionally.

Service Assistant Responsibilities and Requirements:

Perform simple home repairs

Use a variety of hand and power tools without supervision

Assist with the cleaning and remodeling of shared spaces

Consult with clients as needed

Comfortable on scaffolding and ladders

Able to lift 50 lbs

Physical ability to remain standing for the majority of your shift
