Support, communicate and reinforce the mission and vision of the enterprise.Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential TasksWork with and mentor a team of Application Developers to accomplish software project and maintenance goals.Design, enhance and implement new and existing software applications.Serve as an SME for multiple standard organizational platforms.Design UI mock‐ups and translate to AngularJS front‐end.Make design and technical decisions for AngularJS projects.Develop application code and unit test in the AngularJS, API, RESTful services. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.Responsible for researching and evaluating new application technologies.Be directly involved in at least two of the following platforms Microsoft .NET, SharePoint, VB, ASP, Web Development, SQL Server, Oracle, workflow and other application development technologies.Design, prepare and execute coded unit test using MS Visual Studio testing toolsMentor junior‐level Developers and review developed applications for quality and development standardization. Maintain development standards for team projects in Team Foundation Services.Attend, and participate in staff meetings and related activities; attend training to keep up to date with Application Development advancements.Meet with internal customers to gather requirements and flesh out scope of work and deliverables.Oversee the installation and maintenance of all software applications.Provide technical strategy and best practice direction to employees and coworkers.Communicate with other departments regarding application issues.Oversee the management of all mission critical applications to ensure its availability.Maintain a close working relationship with departmental management and co‐workers.Performs other duties as assigned.Non‐Essential TasksPerform and assume other duties and responsibilities as required by departmental management.EducationRequires a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.Licenses and/or CertificationsSoftware Development certification preferred Texas Operators Driver’s LicenseExperienceRequires five or more years of Applications Developer experience.Requires Programming experience with object‐oriented programming languages, with C# language preferred. Requires SQL language experience, with T‐SQL and PL/SQL preferred.Requires extensive experience in developing web applications quickly and effectively using AngularJS, HTML5/CSS3, jQuery.Requires source control experience, Team Foundation Server and, GitHub areis preferred.Experience with four or more of the following technologies and practices is a plus: .NET, MVC, Web API, Web Application Development, C#, SQL Server, Entity Framework, AngularJS, JavaScript, and HTML5/CSS3.Experience with graphic editing software is a plus. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator preferred.KnowledgeMust have knowledge SDLC processes.Must have theoretical and working knowledge of Microsoft .Net application development.SkillsMust have excellent analytical skills to determine root cause and risk elements while considering alternative courses of action.Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.Must have excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.AbilitiesMust be a self‐starter and self‐directed worker.Must be able to anticipate future application development needs to improve and update the current systems.
