Journeyman Electrician

Renewable Energy Systems of Alaska is looking for a full-time Journeyman Electrician at our Anchorage location. Compensation: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time, Year-Round

Location: 145 W Dimond Blvd, Anchorage AK

Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week, Monday-Thursday

Position: We are looking for a full-time residential journeyman electrician to learn and grow in the Renewable Energy field. Commercial experience is a plus but not required. Primary responsibilities are as follows:

· Residential electrical installations- install new solar circuits and transfer switches- training provided

· Installations of solar equipment and electrical wire runs- training provided

· Troubleshooting of electrical circuits (in some cases)

· Hot tub circuit installations, conduit runs and breaker installation

· Work unsupervised with great organization and customer service skills

· Assist other electricians and installers in a team environment

Requirements:

· State of Alaska Electrical Certificate of Fitness

· 2+ Years Residential Electric Experience

· Valid Driver’s License with clean MVR

· Able to pass a background check.

· Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (or get one within 2 weeks of start date)

· Effective communication and customer service skills

· Organized and detail-oriented

Desired Experience/Skills:

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· General computer (Google Suite and Microsoft Office) skills
