Social Group Worker Children's Program
Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center is currently accepting applications for a full-time Social Group Worker in our Children's Program. Founded in 1936, Stanford Settlement is a private, non-profit social service agency serving residents of the North area of Sacramento.
Our Children's Program provides groups designed to promote resiliency in children ages 5-11 who are at risk of child abuse or neglect, along with supportive social services to children and their families.
Job responsibilities include planning, implementation, and evaluation of social development groups; delivering strengths-based social work services in groups and individually; assist with access to the program by providing transportation using agency vehicles; and making home visits and school visits to group members and their families.
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, experience working with at-risk children, and a willingness to learn about the social group work method and the settlement house concept.
A valid California Driver's License is required, along with one's own automobile and insurance.
This position is full time at 40 hours per week, and the pay rate is $19 per hour, plus medical benefits and paid time off. Please reply with your resume.
