Join Our Team at Fausto – Full-Time Prep Cook & Garde Manger Fausto, a beloved neighborhood restaurant and wine destination on Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn, is seeking a passionate full-time Prep Cook & Garde Manger to join our kitchen team. Our market-driven menu emphasizes elevated yet approachable dishes, focusing on local and seasonal ingredients. About Us: At Fausto, we create a dining experience that blends sophistication with a warm, community-focused atmosphere. Our kitchen thrives on creativity and collaboration, and we’re excited to welcome a new member to help bring our culinary vision to life. About the Role: In this dual role, you’ll take on Prep Cook duties on Wednesday and Thursday mornings and work as Garde Manger on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. This full-time position is ideal for someone eager to grow in a fast-paced kitchen while gaining experience in multiple areas. What We’re Looking For: Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role, preferably in casual or fine dining. Skills: Ability to multitask effectively and stay calm under pressure. Attitude: Positive, team-oriented, and enthusiastic about great food. Your Responsibilities: Prep Cook Duties: Prepping ingredients for daily service on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, following our weekly prep schedule. Garde Manger Duties: Managing the Garde Manger station (cold appetizers, salads) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, including setting up and closing down your station. Quality Assurance: Maintaining the highest quality in all dishes and adhering to our standards. Team Support: Assisting with other kitchen tasks as needed and supporting the overall kitchen operation. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for over 6 hours.
