Job Description: Purchasing and Logistics Manager

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement and logistics operations for our rapidly growing window manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and optimizing our supply chain and logistics to ensure efficient production and delivery of our window products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, quality, and efficiency in our window manufacturing process.

2. Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and equipment used in window production.

3. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions.

4. Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and issue resolution.

5. Collaborate with production, sales, and other departments to understand material requirements and align procurement activities.

6. Oversee inventory management, analyzing demand patterns and implementing strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.

7. Manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of raw materials and finished window products.

8. Coordinate with logistics providers to optimize shipping routes, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery.

9. Implement and maintain procurement and logistics systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

10. Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments to inform purchasing decisions.

11. Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies in all purchasing and logistics activities.

12. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, logistics performance, and cost savings to management.

13. Lead and mentor a team of purchasing and logistics professionals.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in purchasing and logistics, preferably in manufacturing

Strong knowledge of procurement principles, negotiation techniques, and supply chain management

Experience with inventory management and logistics operations

Proficiency in procurement and logistics software systems

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Strong communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Quickbooks manufacturing edition entry experience

Knowledge of window manufacturing processes and materials

Experience in construction industry

Wage: $4,000 to $6,000 monthly depending on experience
