Service Technician
Job Title: Service TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Service Mechanic/Technician to join our team. This is a 1st shift position, working Monday through Thursday from 6:30am to 5pm, with overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays as needed. The pay rate is $28-34/hr, depending on experience. This role involves the installation of new equipment, test running new equipment in plants, and making repairs to existing equipment in the field. You will need to have experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and must have your own tools. The position requires approximately 60% of the time working in the shop and 40% traveling to client sites. Travel is required about once a month and can last from a few days to a week at a time. Travel expenses are covered. The company manufactures machinery and equipment for the lumber industry, and the role requires mechanical assembly ability and the ability to read blueprints. This is a job shop environment where unique, one-off machines for the woodworking and wood processing industry are made. You need to be flexible, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and detail-oriented. The position also involves troubleshooting to identify why a machine is not operating properly and developing a plan to fix it. You will initially work in the shop in various departments to become familiar with the company's products before transitioning to a more independent role that involves customer interaction.Primary Skills
