Sous Chef/Line Chef
Camp Harlam is seeking a qualified Sous Chef to work with our Food Service Director, to produce a high-quality foodservice program in Kunkletown, PA.
Camp Harlam, located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, is a high-end residential camp providing all foodservice needs to children and adults.
Requirements:
Three or more years of culinary experience
Experience leading and supervising a foodservice team
Experience producing high volume foodservice in small batches ensuring quality, freshness and nutritional value
Ability to prepare meals with fresh local food
Experience preparing meals for school-age children as well as adults
Experience or knowledge preparing Kosher ‘style’ meals is preferred
Ability to give and receive constructive input
Experience with healthy and scratch cooking techniques
Passion for sourcing and foraging local and sustainable food
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituencies
Willingness to work long hours, evenings and weekends
