Metal Precision Shop Trainee

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Precision Metal Shop Trainee to join our team in the Northwest Houston area. This position offers hands-on training in various aspects of metal fabrication, machining, and assembly. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist in the setup and operation of the drill press and countersinking tools.

· Read and interpret blueprints and lay-out drawings for precision work.

· Perform basic drilling and countersinking tasks under the guidance of experienced staff.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.

· Use precision measuring devices such as calipers to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications and drawings.

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or prior job in metalworking is a plus.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

· Must show ability to read fabrication drawings and comprehend 3-digit decimal dimensions.

· Must be able to read dial calipers and measuring tape.

· Bilingual is a plus
