Senior S&P Associate - Strategy
About the RoleUS&C Community Operations (CommOps) is seeking an accomplished professional to be a Senior Associate on its Strategic Initiatives team within Strategy & Planning. This role is designed for a self-starter who will bring experience and creativity to: 1. ideate opportunities that elevate the near-term support experience against support costs, 2. aid Uber's revenue and market share growth, and 3. influence the long-term trajectory of support operations. This role will be charged to ideate and develop high-impact, results-driven projects ranging from quick wins to step-changing paradigms within Uber's support.As a member of this team, you will report to the Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives. You will operate as a thought partner to the team, Director of S&P and Senior Director of CommOps. You will be responsible for identifying, demonstrating proof-of-concept, and merchandising opportunities that better align operational and programmatic processes against business objectives. You will be required to navigate business constraints, be proficient at distilling open-ended questions into tangible hypotheses and digestible actions, and be comfortable operating within ambiguous problem spaces.Key Skills You'll Leverage on a Daily Basis

What You'll Do
Work collaboratively within a small team to ideate, source, and vet experiential and financial project opportunities that bolster customer support operations' contribution to overall business objectives.
Dive into overlooked or niche areas of the business product in order to generate and distill learnings for senior non-technical consumers that speak to their priorities.
Independently build relationships with cross-functional business partners to develop a full spectrum understanding of the business and its priorities, recruit partner resources, and become a high-value companion for helping teams advance their KPIs.
Develop novel analyses and procure novel data that informs hypotheses or problems that address existing inefficiencies or future deficiencies. Engage with experimentation teams when novel testing data is required to advance your business case.
Identify and flex to fill the talent and resource gap on cross-functional projects and present solutions that lead to KPI wins.
Be the subject matter expert at the corner of customer support and product operations teams; traffic in both customer support and product engineering parlance and priorities.
Proficiently craft business cases and communicate to senior leaders on projects and opportunities that impact their strategic focus. Build trust and comfort exchanging ideas with senior leadership.
Leverage soft influence and build trust with external business leaders to operationalize proposed solutions that touch their domain of responsibility.
What You Will Need (basic qualifications)
Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, product analytics, business consulting, finance or similar analytical or process role
Intermediate SQL proficiency
Advanced skills in Excel / Google Sheets
Bonus Points (preferred qualifications)

Product Management, Product Analytics, or Product Operations experience and/or certifications. Computer Science degree.
Tech start-up experience

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$112,000 per year - USD$124,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year. For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$99,000 per year - USD$110,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
