Behavioral Health Assistant - Central Support

JOB SUMMARY:The Behavioral Health Assistant (BHA) is a caregiver who functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The BHA provides patient care in accordance with each patient's individualized plan of care, unit standards and guidelines, hospital policies and procedures, and provides support to patients experiencing acute or chronic mental distress.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma, GED or foreign equivalentBLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by the American Heart AssociationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree2 years of experienceSix months experience working in a psych program, schools, residential day treatment centers, security, clinical experience, etc.BilingualChild and adolescent experienceCrisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training/certificationClinical Nurse Assistant (CNA)/Medical Assistant (MA) experienceThe expected hiring range for this position is $22.00 to $30.27Rady Children’s Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
