JOB SUMMARY

Kutak Rock LLP seeks a full-time associate attorney to join the Litigation Department in its Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience handling insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. Other litigation experience, including insurance defense and/or creditors rights litigation may be helpful and will be considered.QUALIFICATIONS: Skills & Abilities

Strong verbal communication and writing skills

Excellent judgment

Ability and confidence to work independentlyQUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA accredited law school required. Preference given to those with strong academic credentials

3+ years of relevant experience

Experience representing the insurer in litigation involving the following: commercial lines policies, personal lines policies, and umbrella and excess policies.

Experience analyzing coverage questions, preparing opinions, and litigating coverage claims, including taking cases through discovery and dispositive motion practice

Experience litigating insurance bad faith and extracontractual claims through dispositive motion practice
