job detailsjob summary:A Sr. Engineer, Biomechanical Engineering for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Leesburg, VA area. The Sr. Engineer will ensure EU MDR compliance for implantable medical devices by managing testing, supplier interactions, and laser marking development.location: Leesburg, Virginiajob type: Contractsalary: $75.00 - 85.71 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:

Evaluate product characteristics (materials, coatings, dimensions, etc.) and supplier capabilities.

Conduct in-depth reviews of capability studies and testing for synergies across divisions.

Create Engineering Analysis documents using mechanical engineering knowledge and technical writing skills.

Collaborate with the test lab to develop and execute capability studies for AIDC 2D barcodes.

Assess the durability and readability of barcodes on various materials over time.

Manage the development of new laser marking solutions through the full lifecycle (conceptual design, process development, continuous improvement).

Coordinate activities with the Spine Division and other divisions (Trauma, Extremities, Joint Replacement).

Desired Skills:

Experience working closely with design teams and suppliers.

Ability to function as a Project Manager coordinating between multiple divisions.

Knowledge of laser marking solutions and processes.

Education and Experience:

Degree or equivalent.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
