Arcadia Christian School is a private, faith-based institution committed to fostering academic, spiritual, and physical development in a nurturing Christian environment. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Boys Basketball Coach to lead our middle and high school teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement practice plans and game strategies for 5th-12th grade boys' basketball teams.
Promote character development, teamwork, and sportsmanship through basketball.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and games.
Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment that aligns with the school's Christian values.
Coordinate with school administration, athletic director, and parents regarding schedules, games, and events.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students both on and off the court.
Attend all practices, games, and relevant school meetings or events.
Qualifications:
Prior coaching experience, preferably with middle and/or high school students.
Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and coaching techniques.
A passion for working with youth and developing athletes’ skills in a positive, faith-based environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to model and uphold Christian values in all interactions with students and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience coaching at the middle or high school level.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
