CONSTRUCTION SAFETY

Currently looking for an independent safety representative with experience in construction to work with our corporate safety management team. You will provide leadership and direction on all workplace health and safety matters for assigned accounts and within clients operations. You would be conducting safety audits for select clients, evaluating the IIPP / health and safety programs and making recommendations as needed to achieve established health and safety goals and objectives. This position works closely with clients' operational departments in order to direct the application and administration of established and newly developed injury illness prevention programs. Responsible for conducting construction site & facility audits, accident investigations, and training for our client base throughout southern California. This is a freelance part time position that will have a flexible work schedule and work congruently with your full time job.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Construction and/or general industry health and safety experience as a consultant, job site safety manager, or insurance safety manager.

Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively communicate complex information to clients at all levels of the organization. English / Spanish Speaking preferred.

Ability to maintain confidential information.

Must have a great attitude and be a self starter.

Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change

Strong working knowledge of Cal-OSHA, and other relevant regulations for construction, general industry health and safety standards.

Proficient computer skills in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Experience in the safety & health or related fields are preferred but not required.

BCSP (CHST, STS, ASP, CSP) Preferred but not required.

OSHA Outreach Training Instructor Authorization (500/501) preferred but not required.

OSHA 30 Certification

Reliable transportation is a must have. Being able to travel daily to client’s job site locations throughout southern California. You will be responsible for planning your travel schedule and daily work schedule.
